Pedestrian killed in Katy Freeway traffic accident
A driver struck and killed a pedestrian in the early hours of Friday, June 1 at 18500 Katy Freeway.
The driver of a blue Honda Accord struck the unidentified woman as she tried to cross the main lanes of traffic just after 2 a.m., according to a Houston Police Department news release.
Police say they questioned and released the driver, who waited for officers to arrive at the scene. Alcohol does not appear to have caused the accident, according to the release.
Authorities will release the woman's name after verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
