Fourteen runners from Katy complete Heights Fun Run
Fourteen runners from Katy completed the Heights Fun Run on Saturday, June 2 in Houston.
Barry Chavez, 32, and Alma Rivas, 29, were among the fastest Katy runners to finish. They completed the race in 23:17 and 25:12, respectively. Twelve other local runners also crossed the finish line.
A total of 921 runners finished the 5-kilometer race, which started and ended at Marmion Park. The race was organized by the Houston Heights Association.
Sean Wade of Houston was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:20, while Allison Pye, also of Houston, was the women's winner in 16:53.
