Katy Budget Books offers something for everyone this summer
Katy Budget Books, located at 2450 Fry Road, has announced several events for the summer months.
The Reading Stars Middle Reader Book Club meets every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. beginning June 19 and ending July 31. The first two books being discussed are "Honus and Me" by Dan Gutman (June 19) and "Dear Mr. Henshaw" by Beverly Cleary (June 26).
The Young Adult Book Club meets from 7-8 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of the month. On June 20, "The Interrogation of Gabriel James" by Charlie Price will be the focus of the group.
In addition, there will be a handful of "KBB Gatherings" in June and July. At 7 p.m. June 18, "Lost Book of Mala R" by Rose MacDowell will be discussed, followed by "The Sedona Method (Part 1)" by Hale Dwoskin at 6:30 p.m. June 19. At 7 p.m. June 26, "Dire Needs" by Stephanie Tyler is the focal point, and at noon on June 29, "In the Time of the Butterflies" by Julia Alvarez will be discussed.
The store will also host preschool story time at 10 a.m. every Wednesday.
