Zumiez Couch Tour coming to San Antonio, Katy
Katy Mills will host the 12th annual Zumiez Couch Tour, featuring demonstrations by skateboarding professionals and live music; the tour will hit 12 cities nationwide with stops in San Antonio on Wednesday, June 13 and Katy on Friday, June 15.
The free events feature skate team autograph signings and an interactive festival area.
On Wednesday, June 13, the Lakeline Mall will be the site for appearances from Zero Skate Team (Chris Cole, Tommy Sandoval, Jamie Thomas, James Brockman, Garrett Hill, Tony Cervantes, Keegan Sauder, Ben Hatchell, John Rattray, Josiah Gatlyn, John Fitzgerald, Dane Burman, Tom Karangelov, Jonathan Pierce and Jamie Tancowny) and bands The Wonder Years and Daytrader.
The DGK Skate Team (Stevie Williams, Josh Kalis, Marcus McBride, Jack Curtin, Lenny Rivas, Wade Desarmo, Keelan Dadd, Rodrigo Tx, Derrick Wilson, Dane Vaughn and Marquise Henry) comes to Katy Mills on Friday, June 15 with The Wonder Years and Daytrader.
Joining the tour for the sixth year in a row is the Zumiez Best Foot Forward Am Contest Series, a jam-format contest for up-and-coming skaters looking for their own share. The contest series will also be part of all 12 stops of the Zumiez Couch Tour. Register online at www.zumiezbestfootforward.com.
The top amateur skater from each of the 19 Best Foot Forward contest stops will get an all-expense-paid trip to the tour's final stop in Bloomington, Minn., for the Best Foot Forward Finals on June 26.
