Katy runner completes Sunburst Races 5K
Nikki Gonzalez, 33, of Katy completed the Sunburst Races 5K in 38:38:00.
The event was held on June 2 in South Bend, Ind. A total of 2,801 runners finished the 5K race, which ended at the Notre Dame Stadium.
The charitable beneficiary of the race is the Memorial Children's Hospital.
Tyler Emmorey of Cedar Springs, Mich., was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:17:00, while Julia Nowak of Grand Rapids, Mich., was the women's winner in 17:42:00.
