Katy ISD to host driver's safety class
The Katy ISD Community Education program will host an AARP driver safety class from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, July 16 at the KISD Education Support Complex, which is located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane.
The classroom course is designed to provide a review of driving skills and techniques for motorists and will also offer tips to help adjust to life changes that may affect driving ability. Auto insurance discounts are offered by most companies upon completion of the course.
The class is open to anyone who has worked for a school district, university or in education in any capacity.
All participants must register and have a current driver's license. A required, completed coupon and a $5 check made payable to AARP must be presented upon entering the class. Cash will not be accepted. Coupons can be printed by visiting www.aarp.org/educators.
Membership in AARP is not required, but the class is limited to 25 students. To register, call KISD Community Education at 281-396-6365.
