Katy woman sues Memorial apartments after alleged balcony fall
A Katy woman is suing after, she says, a balcony at a Memorial apartment complex gave way and caused her to fall 12 feet.
Katy resident Melissa Mancha filed a lawsuit on Thursday, June 14 in the Harris County District Court against Capital Source Lakeside, doing business as Lakeside Forest and Cornerstone, in Memorial, citing negligence.
Mancha says on Oct. 31, 2011, she broke her nose and suffered other injuries when she fell 12 feet from a balcony at Lakeside Forest Apartments in Memorial. According to the brief, the balcony railing gave way when an acquaintance pushed her against it.
Mancha is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Liberty attorney Mark Beausoleil.
