Katy ISD to offer TAKS courses in July
Students needing to pass sections on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills will have the opportunity to retake the tests in July.
The TAKS will be offered in all of the necessary subject areas, however the TEAMS and TAAS tests are no longer offered. Individuals eligible to take TEAMS or TAAS will take TAKS exit-level English language arts and/or mathematics instead.
Students enrolled in school who need to retest are automatically registered. Examinees can also register at a participating campus on the day of testing if the campus can accommodate them. All examinees should arrive at 30 minutes before the designated testing start time and present a photo identification.
Days for the specific TAKS subjects are July 9, ELA and ELA Writing; July 10, mathematics; July 11, science and ELA Reading; and July 12, social studies.
Katy Independent School District offers the testing at Raines High School, 1732 Katyland Drive, Katy. For more information, call 281-396.2343.
