Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.157, Houston average at $3.169 and the nationwide average at $3.380.

The average gas price in Katy last week was $3.225 per gallon.

The least expensive gas price in Katy is reported to be $3.15 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which a gasbuddy.com contributor logged as being available at Sam's Club, 20424 Katy Freeway and Price Plaza Drive, and Valero, 5710 Highway Blvd. and Avenue B.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.34, which was being sold at Exxon, 5505 Highway Blvd. and Thomas Avenue.
