Katy man arrested on charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child
Police arrested a Katy man accused of sexually assaulting a pre-teen girl.
Katy resident Jason Ernstes was taken into custody at the Fort Bend County Jail on a $100,000 bond after his June 28 arrest, according to a Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office news release.
Before surrendering to deputies, Ernstes reportedly threatened to kill himself.
Officers arrived at a rural residence to arrest Ernstes after the victim’s mother reported the alleged assault, which she said occurred June 27.
