Ryan Lollis, a 2005 graduate of Houston Christian High School, scored two runs, but it wasn't enough as the San Jose Giants fell 11-10 to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Saturday.

In the game, Lollis collected three hits in five trips to the plate.

Lollis was selected in the 20th round, 601st overall, in the 2005 Major League Baseball draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, but opted to play college ball for the University of Missouri.

With the Tigers, he appeared in 217 games over four seasons hitting .309 with nine home runs and 164 RBI.

The San Francisco Giants drafted him in 2009 in the 37th round, 1,107th overall.

He began his pro career in 2009 appearing in 52 games for Salem-Kaizer of the Northwest League, batting .312.
