Katy runner completes MLB All-Star Charity 5K
John Conley, 38, of Katy completed the MLB All-Star Charity 5K in 23:53.
The event was held Sunday, July 8 in Kansas City, Mo. A total of 5,439 runners finished the 5K race, which started and ended in the Power & Light District in Downtown Kansas City.
The proceeds of the race will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Stand up to Cancer and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Caleb Hoover, of Joplin, Mo., was the men’s overall winner with a time of 15:09, and Jenn Deal, of St. Louis, was the women’s winner in 18:00.
