Atwood Oceanics announces contract extension for Vicksburg
A Houston-based international offshore drilling contractor has been awarded a one-year contract extension with an affiliate of Coastal Energy Company for a jack-up rig in Vicksburg.
An Atwood Oceanics subsidiary won the extension, which carries a day rate of $105,000 from Jan. 1, 2013, to June 30, 2013, and a day rate of $115,000 from June 30, 2013, to Dec. 31, 2013.
Atwood Oceanics is responsible for exploratory and developmental oil and gas wells. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the acronym ATW.
