TexasSno opens in Katy
TexasSno is now offering Katy residents snoballs that the owners say are a step above the commonplace sugar-and-ice snow cones residents are used to.
Their icy treats are in the New Orleans tradition, according to owners Charles and Nan Scott. The Scotts are Louisiana natives who have lived in Katy for more than 20 years. They got the idea for TexasSno in the middle of the 2011 heat wave and drought.
According to a press release announcing the new business, the Scotts want TexasSno to be what springs to mind when people think of a soft, cold, delicious snoball. They say they plan to be active in the community by supporting schools, clubs and teams. Their daughter attends Katy Junior High School.
TexasSno is open for business at 22450 Franz Road in Katy, at the Conoco Station at Franz and Elrod.
