The Shoppes & Cafe to host William Adams Aug. 9

The Shoppes & Cafe at Brookwood presents William Adams, the author of "The Texas Tomato Lover's Handbook," at 10 a.m. Aug. 9, according to a press release.

Adams has written a step-by-step "Guide to Success in the Tomato Patch" and is a garden expert with 30 years of experience as an Agrilife extension agent.

The Shoppes & Cafe at Brookwood is located at 1752 FM 1489 in Brookshire.

Take in lunch at the Cafe at Brookwood, and enjoy Adams' lesson on tomatoes.

The cafe will offer the Tomato Lover's Menu: a bacon beef streak tomato sandwich on jalapeno cheese bread with thinly sliced avocados in a chipotle spread with summer salsa, homemade tostada chips and la vainella Mexicana mango custard.
