Carrie's Heart to hold Yucatan Fiesta

A Yucatan Fiesta to benefit nonprofit organization Carrie's Heart is planned for 6-10 p.m. Aug. 16 at Agave Real.

Cost for the event is $10 for adults, $5 for students or $25 for a family of three or more people. Country singer Cooper Wade will perform, and a cash bar, food, gift basket raffle, children's activities and door prizes also are planned.

The Yucatan Fiesta is the organization's annual fundraiser for sponsoring children with special needs and its two medical and physical services buildings in Cozumel and Yucatan, Mexico.

Carrie's Heart was granted charitable nonprofit status in 2005 and was founded by Carrie Conn to help children with disabilities at both local and international levels. It is located at 14520 Memorial Drive, Suite M108 in Houston. Visit www.carriesheart.org for more information.
