Northwest Cycling Club to hold Saturday Morning Ride
Mona Lincoln will be the ride starter for the Saturday, Aug. 4, Northwest Cycling Club ride from Zube Park.
The ride will start at 7:30 a.m. Cyclists wishing to join the ride should be able to maintain a minimum speed of 12 mph and be able to cycle a distance of at least 20 miles. All riders need helmets and must obey traffic laws. Headphones are not permitted. Pace groups are divided into new riders and speeds of 14-16 mph, 16-18 mph, 18-20 mph and more than 20 mph.
The ride route will follow paved country roads in Harris and Waller Counties for a distance of 20 to 80 miles. Gatorade, water, cookies, bananas and peanut butter sandwiches will be provided by the ride starter after the ride's conclusion.
