Registration for Bayland Park Little League opens

Bayland Park Little League has opened registration for the coming season, which is set to begin Sept. 1.

The entry fee for all divisions is $60 per player. The Bay Park program offers five divisions, including Majors for ages 11-12, Minors for ages 9-11, AAA for ages 7-8, AA for ages 5-6 and the A division for ages 4-5. The season runs through Saturday, Nov. 24.

The program is sanctioned by Little League Baseball and Softball, the world’s largest youth sports organization, according to the league’s website. It serves children ages 4-18, including physically and mentally disabled children.

The international little league season, which includes more than 75 countries, culminates in a World Series International Tournament held in Williamsport, Pa. The event is broadcast on ABC and the ESPN cable channels.

All home games are played at Bayland Park which is located at 6400 Bissonnet St., in Houston.
