A&F Brands Factory Store to open at Katy Mills

Katy Mills, the largest outlet and retail shopping mall in South Texas, will be one of the first malls in the country to debut an A&F Brands Factory Store, according to a press release.

A&F Brands Factory Store is a one-stop location for items from Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie, Hollister and Gilly Hicks brands. The store is scheduled to open in November next to the Calvin Klein store in the Neighborhood Three section of the mall.

"Katy Mills is excited to be one of the first locations in the U.S. to debut the A&F Brands Factory Store," said Mace Hirt, general manager at Katy Mills, in a press release. "This new addition, complemented by new dining options, solidifies Katy Mills dominant position as the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in South Texas."

The mentioned new dining options are Haagen-Dazs and Shota Sushi. Haagen-Dazs, a popular ice cream brand commonly found in grocery stores, will open a retail store in September near Aeropostale and American Eagle stores. According to the Haagen-Dazs website, the company's franchises offer several of the flavors found in a grocery store's freezer aisle and new flavors, as well as sundaes, ice cream cakes, shakes, smoothies and Dazzlers.

Shota Sushi, a Japanese restaurant, will serve sushi rolls and other dishes at its location near AMC Theatres. It is scheduled to open in October.

The A&F Brands Factory Store, Haagen-Dazs and Shota Sushi join Katy Mills' more than 175 stores.

The mall is located at 5000 Katy Mills Circle, Katy. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Sunday. It is owned by Simon Property Group of Indianapolis.
