Seven Lakes High School Marching Band to host annual 'March-a-Thon'

The Seven Lakes High School Marching Band's annual March-a-Thon will take place from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.   According to a press release, the band will march through parts of Westheimer Lakes, Cinco Ranch and Seven Meadows. A concert to wrap up the event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Seven Meadows Central Park. Concert attendees will have the opportunity to buy food, beverages and song requests.   The release also noted that cash donations may be made at any point along the band's route. Band members will also take pledges in advance of the March-a-Thon.    Funds raised at the event will go toward purchasing instruments and other equipment for students, bringing in guest musicians, developing shows and providing scholarships, the release stated.   For more information about the March-a-Thon, email vpfundraising@slhsband.org.
