The Seven Lakes High School marching band will hold its second annual Spartan March-a-thon parade and concert from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.
Donations from the march-a-thon will help raise funds to buy student instruments and equipment, learn from guest artists and clinicians, develop special shows and provide for various programs and scholarship.
The march-a-thon will move through sections of Westheimer Lakes, Cinco Ranch and Seven Meadows and will end with a concert at 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, in Seven Meadows.
The Spartan band will be accepting cash donations of any amount along the route and students will be accepting pledges in advance. Individuals can see the parade and reserve a private concert outside of their home or in front of a group of neighbors. Visit slhsband.org to do so. Donation receipts will be available.
The Seven Lakes High School Band Booster Association is a nonprofit organization.
