CrossPoint's GO 5K, Outdoor Market set for Nov. 17
CrossPoint Community Church, in collaboration with CrossPoint's Community Impact Team, will host its first 5K event at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.
According to a press release, 500 individuals are expected to participant in GO 5K A Different Way, featuring a 3.1-mile route with a series of obstacles and tasks, including gathering care package items and placing them in a cinched bag that will be carried during the race.
As part of the CrossPoint's Community Impact Team's Feed the Need project, these packages will be distributed to people in need throughout the community.
After the race, the church will hold its second annual Outdoor Market, featuring vendors, craftsmen, household items, children's activities and concessions.
Proceeds from both events will benefit Christ Clinic of Katy, a nonprofit organization that provides health care to individuals that are either uninsured or do not receive assistance from the government.
Both events will be held at CrossPoint's Westgreen Campus, 700 S. Westgreen Blvd., Katy.
