Author Cat Valente visits Morton Ranch High School

Author Cat Valente visited students at the Morton Ranch High School Maverick Library in October.

Valente met with students for an more than an hour to discuss writing, answer students' questions and sign copies of her book, "The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Their Own."

Participants also had an opportunity to learn about an upcoming sequel, "The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There."

To prepare for her visit, the Maverick Library set up title displays of some of the author's favorite things, such the Greek and Latin languages, the Renaissance and fairy tales.
