Lunch menu for Katy ISD elementary schools, Dec. 3-7

The school lunch menu has been announced for Katy Independent School District's elementary schools for the week of Dec. 3:

Monday, Dec. 3: Orange chicken with brown rice, mozzarella cheese sticks, baby carrots, sweet green peas and apple slices or mandarin oranges

Tuesday, Dec. 4: Cheeseburger, hamburger, bean and cheese burrito, lettuce and tomato salad, vegetarian baked beans and fresh grapes or pears with kiwi

Wednesday, Dec. 5: Oven fried chicken with whole-grain roll, garden salad with yogurt, broccoli florets, mashed potatoes and peaches or watermelon chunks

Thursday, Dec. 6: Hot dog on bun, whole-grain grilled cheese, spinach salad, baked sweet potato fries and fresh strawberries or frozen juice cup

Friday, Dec. 7: Barbecue beef rib hoagie, cheese lasagna, green beans, tossed salad and cantaloupe or raisins

Available daily: 1 percent white milk, fat-free chocolate milk
