Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice University loss

Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored six points but Rice University lost 76-48 to the University of Arkansas, Little Rock Saturday, Nov. 24 at Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, the Rice website reported.

Palmer also recorded eight rebounds and four assists for Rice, which fell to 2-3 on the season.

Rice's next game is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at home against Baylor.

Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
