Morton Ranch grad Foster plays in Santa Clara loss
Morton Ranch High School graduate Kevin Foster scored 27 points but his Santa Clara University basketball team lost by a basket, 80-78 to conference opponent Utah State Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Santa Clara, Calif., the team website reported.
The Santa Clara senior guard also recorded three rebounds, one assist, four steals and a block for the Broncos, who lost their first game and went to 5-1 on the season. Santa Clara also played Saturday, Dec. 1 at home against UC Santa Barbara.
Named one of Texas' top 30 recruits, Foster played at Morton Ranch for coach Corey Palmer in 2004-2008. His senior year (2007-2008) Foster was named MVP and All-District 18-5A First Team. He was also named All-District 18-5A Team and All-Greater Houston Second Team, both in junior year (2006-2007). He is the son of Rick and Gilda Foster.
