Cinco Ranch grad Palmer leads Rice University to victory
Katy native Megan Palmer led Rice University to a 60-51 home victory against McNeese State University with 24 points, according to Rice University's website.
The game was played Dec. 1 at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston.
The Rice University freshman forward also recorded 14 rebounds and one assist for the Owls, who improved to 3-4 on the season.
Rice's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at home against Chicago State University.
Palmer is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in the National and Spanish Honor Societies.
She is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
