Where are the lowest gas prices in Katy?

Gas prices in and around Katy were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 60 gas stations in and around Katy.

As of Saturday, Dec. 8, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Katy was $3.07 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.09, the state average at $3.09 and the nationwide average at $3.36.

The least expensive gas in Katy was reported to be $2.99 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Valero, 1546 N. Westgreen Blvd.; Sam's Club, 20424 Katy Freeway; RaceWay, 1505 N. Westgreen Blvd.; Shell, 6201 N. Ferry Road; and Chevron, 6120 N. Ferry Road, near West Little York Road.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area to be $3.25 at Chevron, 23307 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Other local stations included in the survey were Shell, 20449 FM-529; Valero, 22500 Franz Road; Exxon, 22450 Franz Road; and Shell, 2620 FM-1463.

GasBuddy.com, owned by GasBuddy Organization Inc., offers local gas pricing information to its visitors. The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors.
