Two Katy runners complete GE Run Thru the Woods (3-Mile Run)
Two athletes from Katy completed the GE Run Thru the Woods (3-Mile Run) on Nov. 22 in The Woodlands.
Christian Gomez, 9, crossed the finish line in 29:51, and Alberto Escobar, 32, finished in 24:44.
According to race organizers, a total of 1,222 runners finished the 3-mile race, which began and ended at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Ronnie Delzer, of Magnolia, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 15:54, while Kara Sanstrom, of Cypress, was the winner in the women's category finishing with a time of 19:05.
