Five Katy runners complete GE Run Thru the Woods (1-Mile Children's Race)

Five athletes from Katy completed the GE Run Thru the Woods (1-Mile Children's Race) on Nov. 22 in The Woodlands.

The runners from Katy and their finishing times were Reena Cahoon, 10, 9:10; Sebastian Garcia, 11, 9:59; Victoria Gomez, 7, 10:41; Joaquin Escobar, 5, 11:30; and Nicholas Gomez, 4, 11:46.

The 1-mile race began and ended at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

Calder West, of The Woodlands, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 6:00, while Nicole Faria, of The Woodlands, was the winner in the women's category finishing with a time of 6:29.
