Cinco Ranch grad Palmer leads Rice University to victory over Chicago State
Megan Palmer, a graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, is a freshman forward on the Rice University women's basketball team.
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer led Rice University to a 68-42 home victory against Chicago State University with 14 points, according to Rice University's website.
The game was played Thursday, Dec. 13 at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston.
The Rice University freshman forward also recorded 11 rebounds and two assists for the Owls, who improved to 4-4 on the season.
Rice University's next game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at home against Stephen F. Austin State University.
Palmer is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
