Where are the lowest gas prices in Katy?

Gas prices in and around Katy were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 53 gas stations in and around Katy as of Saturday, Dec. 15.

The average price of regular unleaded gas in Katy was $3 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.02, the state average at $3.02 and the nationwide average at $3.27.

The least expensive gas in Katy was reported to be $2.75 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Katy Depot, 5710 Highway Blvd.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area to be $3.19 at Chevron, 23307 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Other local stations included in the survey were Shell, 19200 Clay Road; Exxon, 2950 S. Mason Road; Shell, 25833 Cinco Ranch Blvd.; Shell, 9630 Spring Green Blvd.; CITGO, 20230 Franz Road; Shell, 5815 Franz Road; H-E-B, 6701 S. Fry Road; and Shell, 20607 Westheimer Parkway.

GasBuddy.com, owned by GasBuddy Organization Inc., offers local gas pricing information to its visitors. The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors.
