Mayde Creek High School student earns medals in decathlon

Junior Henry Yang earned a gold medal in economics and a bronze mdeal in math at the Pearland Academic Decathlon Tournament on Saturday Dec. 9.

Mayde Creek High School junior Henry Yang won a bronze medal in math and gold medal in economics at the Pearland Academic Decathlon Tournament.

According to a press release from the school, 16 teams and 250 students competed in the tournament, held Saturday, Dec. 9. The regional competition will be in January.

Mayde Creek High School is at 19202 Groschke Road, Houston.
