Cross Creek Ranch plans second pool

West Houston's Cross Creek Ranch has announced it will open a second pool just in time for next year's swimming season.

According to a ranch release, the master-planned community's new pool, which is scheduled to open Memorial Day, will feature abundant shade as well as lounge chairs. Competitive swimmers will be able to participate in swim meets and practice lap swimming at the pool as well, the release noted.

The pool will be located near the intersection of South Fry Road and Flewellen Oaks Lane, where it will connect with Cross Creek Ranch's Water Park at Adventure Island.

Other activities offered to residents of the 3,200-acre Cross Creek Ranch, which the Greater Houston Builders Association named Master-Planned Community of the Year for 2012, include trails for hiking and biking, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, a fitness center and nearby parks.
