Katy ISD Board approves attendance boundary modification
The Katy Independent School District board of trustees recently approved the recommended boundary modifications for Katy ISD's High School Number 7, scheduled to open in fall 2013.
According to a district release, the modifications will provide relief for Seven Lakes High School by moving several hundred ninth- and tenth-grade students to the new facility.
Mark Grisdale, former principal of Morton Ranch High School, will be the new school's principal.
"Having the opportunity to open a new high school is a tremendous honor," said Grisdale, in the release. "It is my mission to work with all members of the school community to foster academic growth and extracurricular excellence."
The attendance boundary modifications are available by visiting www.katyisd.org.
The Katy Independent School District is at 6301 South Stadium Lane.

The new high school will be located at 242 Howard Ave., Holland.
Katy ISD serves more than 64,000 students. Covering 181 square miles west of downtown Houston, Katy ISD is comprised of 57 campuses, and with more than 8,000 employees is one of the largest employers in the West Houston area.
