Sporting event raises $26K to support wounded veterans

Deep Down Inc. hosted a sporting clay fall event Dec. 18, with all proceeds going toward helping wounded veterans and their families, it was recently announced.
More than 20 veterans participated in the event, which raised $26,000 to support wounded veterans.
Impact A Hero, a non-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support for our severely-wounded combat veterans and their families have formed a partnership with Deep Down Inc., an oil field services company, to support wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Over the past eight years, Impact A Hero programs have helped more than 4,000 wounded heroes and their families with emotional support and emergency financial aid including arranging flights home so the wounded could see their families.
