Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates at 65 gas stations in and around Katy as of Saturday, Dec. 29. The average price of regular unleaded gas in Katy is $3.08 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.10, the state average at $3.10 and the nationwide average at $3.28.

The least expensive gas in Katy was reported to be $2.99 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at US Super Food Store, 1775 N. Mason Road, Near Earl of Dunmore Lane; Kroger, 25034 FM -1093; Shell, 9630 Spring Green Blvd.; Shell, 20449 FM -529; and Murphy USA, 6010 N. Ferry Road.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.29 at Chevron, 23307 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
