Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss

Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored 15 points but Rice kist 80-57 to Texas A&M New Year's Day at Reed Arena in College Station, the Rice website reported.

Palmer also recorded four rebounds, one assist and a block for the Owls, who are 8-5 on the season. Rice's next game is 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at East Carolina.

Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
