Cinco Ranch grad Nwanguma plays in Houston Baptist loss

Cinco Ranch High School graduate Ashleigh Nwanguma scored two points as Houston Baptist lost 75-58 at home to Sam Houston State on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Sharp Gym in Houston, the Houston Baptist website reported.

Nwanguma also recorded five rebounds, an assist and one steal for the Huskies, who are 3-12 on the season.

Houston Baptist's next game is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against Delaware State.

Nwanguma is a freshman guard for Houston Baptist University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, where she was MVP. The psychology major from Katy is the daughter of George and Grace Nwanguma.
