11 Katy runners complete 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon
Eleven Katy athletes completed the 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The runners from Katy and their finishing times were Will Austin, 3:51:34; Mike Knutar, 4:02:55; Lionel Alessio, 4:17:43; Khoi Nguyen, 4:51:45; Holly Jones, 4:54:43; Bob Myers, 4:56:44; Courtney Bauerlein, 5:10:52; Michaelann Demille, 5:11:42; Natalia Galey, 5:19:10; Jason Brod, 5:32:33; and Erica Trivette, 5:56:15.
Race organizers said 4,874 runners finished the 26.2 mile race, which began and ended at Downtown Dallas.
Vladimir Safranov of Russia was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 2:19:38, while Nastassia Padalinskaya of Belarus was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:43:56.
