Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss

Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored five points in the 60-41 loss by Rice to conference rival East Carolina Thursday, Jan. 10, at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, N.C., the Rice website reported.

Palmer also recorded five rebounds, one assist, a steal and two blocks for the Owls, who are 8-6 on the season and 0-1 in the C-USA.

Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
