Where are the lowest gas prices in Katy?

Gas prices in and around Katy were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website GasBuddy.com.

Visitors to the GasBuddy.com website reported rates at 66 gas stations in and around Katy. As of Saturday, Jan. 12, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Katy was $3.16 per gallon.

GasBuddy.com listed both the Houston and state averages at $3.17 and the nationwide average at $3.27.

The least expensive gas in Katy was reported to be $3.09 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which GasBuddy.com contributors logged at Katy Depot, 5710 Highway; US Super Food Store, 1775 N. Mason Road; Exxon, 550 W. Grand Parkway South; and H-E-B, 1621 S. Mason Road.

A GasBuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area to be $3.29 at Chevron, 23307 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Other local stations included in the survey were Katy Depot, 5710 Highway Blvd.; Shell, 19200 Clay Road; Chevron, 20350 Park Row Blvd.; Citgo, 20230 Franz Road; Phillips 66, 890 Westgreen Blvd.; and Shell, 21206 Kingsland Blvd.

The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors.
