Pope John XXIII grad Costello helps Austin victory
Pope John XXIII High School graduate Patrick Costello played for Stephen F. Austin State University in a 72-49 win at home over conference rival Nicholls State Saturday, Jan. 19, at Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the Austin State website reported.
The freshman forward helped the Lumberjacks improve to 16-1 on the season and 7-0 in the Southland Conference.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Northwestern State.
Costello is a freshman forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a 2012 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, where he scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds per game. Costello is from Houston.
