Morton Ranch grad Foster leads Santa Clara to victory
Morton Ranch High School graduate Kevin Foster led Santa Clara to a 83-76 victory against conference rival Pepperdine with 29 points.
The game was played Jan. 19 at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, Calif., Santa Clara's website reported.
The Santa Clara University senior guard also recorded two rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Broncos, who improved to 14-6 on the season and 3-3 in the West Coast Conference.
Santa Clara's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at home against California State University Bakersfield.
Named one of Texas' top 30 recruits, Foster played at Morton Ranch for coach Corey Palmer in 2004-08. His senior year (2007-08) Foster was named MVP and All-District 18-5A First Team. He was also named All-District 18-5A Team and All-Greater Houston Second Team, both in junior year (2006-07). He is the son of Rick and Gilda Foster.
