Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored six points in a 73-51 loss by Rice University to conference rival SMU Sunday, Jan. 20, in Dallas, the Rice website reported.
Palmer also recorded three rebounds, two assists, one steal and a block for the Owls, who are 9-8 on the season and 1-3 in the Conference USA.
The next Rice game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at home against UTEP.
Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
