Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored nine points in the 49-48 home loss by Rice University to conference rival UTEP on Thursday, Jan. 24 at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston, the Rice website reported.
Palmer also recorded four rebounds and a block for the Owls, who are 9-9 on the season and 1-4 in the C-USA.
Rice's next game is 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at Southern Miss.
Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
