Cinco Ranch grad Nwanguma plays in Houston Baptist loss
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Ashleigh Nwanguma scored eight points, but Houston Baptist lost 73-62 to conference rival Chicago State on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Jones Convocation Center in Chicago, Baptist's website reported.
Nwanguma also recorded 10 rebounds and twp blocks for the Huskies, who are 14-16 on the season and 0-2 in the Great West Conference.
Houston Baptist's next game is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at home against Utah Valley.
Nwanguma is a freshman guard for Houston Baptist University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, where she was MVP. The psychology major from Katy is the daughter of George and Grace Nwanguma.
