Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer scored 14 points in Rice University's 76-57 loss to conference rival Southern Miss on Sunday, Jan. 27 at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Miss., the Rice website reported.
Palmer also recorded nine rebounds and a block for the Owls, who are 8-10 on the season and 1-5 in conference.
Rice's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 at Memphis.
Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
