Pope John XXIII grad Costello helps in SFA win
Pope John XXIII High School graduate Patrick Costello played for Stephen F. Austin State University in its 59-39 win over conference rival McNeese State on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at LC Civic Center in Lake Charles, La., the SFA website reported.
Costello helped the Lumberjacks improve to 17-2 on the season and 8-1 in the Southland Conference.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Lamar.
Costello is a freshman forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a 2012 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, where he scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds per game. Costello is from Houston.
