Cinco Ranch grad Palmer plays in Rice loss
Cinco Ranch High School graduate Megan Palmer contributed four points in Rice's 64-60 loss to conference rival Memphis on Jan. 31 at Elma Roane Fieldhouse in Memphis, Rice's website reported.
The Rice University freshman forward also recorded seven rebounds for the Owls, who are 9-11 on the season and 1-6 in the conference.
Rice's next game is 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 at home against the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Palmer is a freshman forward for Rice University. She is a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, where she won the Senior Captain's Award and was active in National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Palmer is from Katy and is the daughter of John and Patty Palmer.
